Preparing for your big day is the perfect way to start off the New Year! There is no better feeling than a fresher you! As a bride-to-be, here are my tips for all you lovely brides!

1) Kick-start the year with fitness!

You don’t have to spend money to be fit and healthy, all it takes is the right motivation. There are numerous free workouts on YouTube- check them out! Not to mention, there is nothing better than a walk in the fresh air! Grab yourself a water bottle and off you go!

2) Drink plenty of water.

The best way to combat acne or bloatedness is water! 60% of the human body is water. Drink water as much as you can, try to avoid too much caffeine. I personally, try to limit myself to one cup of coffee a day. Replace the caffeine for more water and herbal drinks. A personal favourite of mine is green tea in the morning, peppermint tea before and after meals, and chamomile tea before bed.

3) Skincare.

All of us brides want skin that glows. Take more interest in your skin, try to aim for a facial that suits your skin type at least twice a week! Trust me your skin will feel fabulous!

4) Hair.

Now that I am getting married, I like to aim for a hair mask at least once a week. Again, don’t feel like you have to go out and buy surplus amounts of hair products. Try watching some YouTube tutorials on how to make your own homemade hair masks. Nothing beats organic!

Finally, wishing all you brides-to-be the very best of luck with your wedding preparations and the big day, of course!

Love,

Planning your wedding is an exciting time! However, there are some things you must know before booking the big day!

Firstly, price around!! Find the best deal you can get. When viewing venues try and imagine your big day, ask yourself: can I see my wedding at this venue? If not keep on moving!

Secondly, book for a minimum number of guests. Do not be too ambitious by plucking the maximum number of guest meals you can think of. Remember you can always add tables, not take away!

Thirdly, music. Music is at the heart and soul of every wedding. You simply cannot have a fabulous day without music! Music fills the empty vessels of your big day. It creates a warm, welcoming ambience for you and your guests. Studies have shown the positive influence of music on people's overall mental health and happiness. For example, think of your favourites music. How does it make you feel? Every couple wants their guests to enjoy the day as much as they do. Treat your guests to the unique sound of the Irish harp. The harp with its soft tones simply complements the day and adds to the fairytale element of your dream wedding! Contact Niamh on 0870673909 or by email: niamhsharpacademy@gmail.com to book your special surprise for you guests.

Lastly, enjoy the planning!! Sit back with your choice of drink and simply take in every step at a time.

Music forms the backbone to creating that magical day! After all, guests remember two things from your big day – music and food. The harp sets the tone of the wedding from start to finish, creating this feeling of elegance, magic and most importantly love! The theme you want to capture throughout your big day! After all isn’t that what this day symbolises? The harp is a symbol of love, prosperity and elegance in every single possible way, it is even in the shape of a heart (harmonic curve)!!! It paints that fairy tale portrait that every girl dreams of. It acts in the same way as film music, painting a picture to every scene, emphasising the emotions portrayed by the characters, creating the atmosphere, you name it! We want your music to simply compliment the magic, the love, the happiness of your dream day, this is what makes the music of your wedding such a big important aspect to wedding planning.

Why choose harp? Music is linked to emotion, instruments vary in timbre (sound) for example if we hear heavy metal we automatically associate this to anger, in contrast to the sweet sound of harp which we immediately conjure up this image of angels and a sense of comfort, relaxation and happiness. So choosing your instrument is vital. The harp offers a unique experience for your guests, it’s a rare instrument, it is special. The harp is most renowned for being the national emblem of Ireland, the oldest surviving harp (Brian Boru harp) to be found in the long room of Trinity College, Dublin. The harp was in fact used by composers of the Romantic period to portray the theme of love and romance. For couples who share different taste in music, the harp unlike any other instrument is a versatile instrument, you can virtually play any genre of music on harp ranging from pop, classical to even jazz- you name it the harp has got you covered! The perfect choice for a mutual agreement to suit everybody’s musical taste.
